NHL Rumors: Notable Team On Josh Manson's No-Trade List

According to Elliotte Friedman, the Toronto Maple Leafs are on Josh Manson's no-trade list. This is an interesting development, as the Leafs have been linked to the Anaheim Ducks defenseman.
Now, just because the Maple Leafs are reportedly on his no-trade list, that doesn't automatically mean that he will not end up there by the deadline. However, it does create an obstacle for general manager Pat Verbeek and the Ducks, as they will need to get his approval on a hypothetical swap. Manson also did previously reject a trade to the Winnipeg Jets this offseason, so it may be possible that he wants to remain in the United States.

The Ducks are also in an interesting spot this deadline season, too. Although deemed as rebuilders, they currently have a 23-16-9 record and are third in the Pacific Division. Due to this, they very well could make the postseason if teams like the Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers do not catch them. Yet, with Manson's contract expiring at the end of the season, they could still elect to get assets back for him. Keep in mind, they are still building their roster back up and can't lose a player like him for nothing during the offseason.

Alas, we will have to wait and see what happens with Manson from here. However, the 30-year-old will only end up with Toronto if he okays the move.
