Video: Sidney Crosby Scores 500th Career Goal

In Tuesday night's game against the Philadelphia Flyers, Sidney Crosby scored his 500th career goal.

Everything about this goal was perfectly fitting. Crosby scored it on the power play after receiving a beautiful pass from his partner in crime, Evgeni Malkin. It also was extra sweet because it was against the Penguins' biggest rivals.

Crosby is the 46th player in NHL history to hit this feat and that is even more impressive when remembering that he is a playmaker. Furthermore, it only took him a total of 1,077 career games to reach it. He is also now the second Penguin to ever hit 500 career goals with the organization, as Mario Lemieux of course originally did it with his 690.

Crosby is one of the best to ever play in the NHL, and this accomplishment by him is only adding more to his amazing resume. Next stop - 600!
