NHL Rumors: 2 Vegas Golden Knights Trade Candidates

With the huge in-season trade for Jack Eichel, you'd think the Vegas Golden Knights would be done making trades but that's apparently not the case at all. With the latest news of Robin Lehner going down with injury, the Golden Knights could be interested in adding to their crease and are dealing with some big injuries to their blue line. It takes talent going out for it to come back in, so let's take a look at two Golden Knights players who could be moved before March 21:

Evgeni Dadonov

Before Mark Stone landed on LTIR, Dadonov was the player likely being traded to create space for Eichel under the salary cap and now finds himself once again linked to trade talks. The 33-year-old holds no-trade protection against 10 teams and is signed for next season at $5 million against the cap. So far in 2021-22, the shifty winger has recorded 23 points in 58 games. He's a proven scorer in the league and his best season came back as a member of the Florida Panthers, where he tallied 28 goals in 2018-19. The Washington Capitals, Edmonton Oilers and Boston Bruins could be interested in a deal if the price tag isn't too substantial.

Alec Martinez

The veteran blueliner suffered a gruesome injury back in November as he was cut in the face by a skate and he's been on LTIR ever since. While the team is unsure about his return, from all accounts it sounds like he's going to play again this season. Martinez would fetch a solid forward for the Golden Knights top-six group and it's going to come down to just how comfortable management would be without him on their blue line. Since they've basically played the entire season without him, perhaps they consider the move. Of the two Golden Knights listed, Dadonov is much more likely to be moved before next Monday.
