NHL Rumors: Blackhawks Unlikely To Trade Star Goalie

According to Chris Johnston, Marc-Andre Fleury is expected to stay with the Chicago Blackhawks for the remainder of the season.

The Blackhawks have made it known that they will not trade Fleury without his permission. Although he is their biggest rental candidate, it seems that the 37-year-old would rather stay with Chicago from here - even if they are completely out of the playoff picture.

Understandably, the Blackhawks want to respect Fleury's wishes. Not only is he a future Hall of Famer, but one also cannot forget the way the Vegas Golden Knights traded him this past offseason.

In 39 games this season, Fleury has a 16-19-4 record, 2.83 goals-against average, and .911 save percentage. These numbers are solid when remembering how much he struggled at the beginning of the season. Since then, he has found his form. This is why so many teams have been linked to the reigning Vezina Trophy winner.

As we get closer to the deadline, we could see Fleury change his mind. However, as it stands right now, it seems that he will be finishing the campaign with the Blackhawks.
