NHL Rumors: Bruins Interested In Senators Defenseman

According to Bruce Garrioch, the Boston Bruins are expressing interest in Ottawa Senators defenseman Josh Brown.

It makes sense that the Bruins would view Brown as a potential addition to their roster. He is a 6-foot-5 right-handed defenseman who would provide them with more depth on the backend. Furthermore, he is a very physical player, and Boston has received plenty of criticism for being too weak to go up against. The 28-year-old defenseman would help change that, if acquired, of course.

In 46 games this season, Brown has six assists and a minus-9 rating. With that, he also has 106 hits to his credit.

Brown carries a $1.2 million cap hit for the remainder of this season. The Bruins still have over $5 million of deadline cap space to work with, so they would be able to afford him with ease. Let's see if these two teams strike a deal before the day is done.
