NHL Rumors: Ducks Interested In Bruins Forward

According to David Pagnotta, the Anaheim Ducks are expressing interest in Boston Bruins forward Jake DeBrusk.

Although DeBrusk has been playing well on Boston's first line, the 25-year-old's agent has made it known that the winger still wants out. Furthermore, he is also willing to discuss a long-term extension with the team so it's easier to move him. Keep in mind, his $4.41 million qualifying offer has been scaring teams away.

DeBrusk could be a nice addition to the Ducks. Although they have taken a noticeable step forward this season, they are still rebuilding, and he's a player who could fit in one. Furthermore, he would provide them with another solid young winger if acquired.

Although he had a very slow start to the season, DeBrusk has since found his previous form. In 52 games now, he has 15 goals, 10 assists, and an even rating. He certainly could fit in a team's middle six at this juncture, and the Ducks are clearly thinking that, too.

With players like Rickard Rakell, Hampus Lindholm, and Josh Manson all having expiring contracts, maybe the Bruins could use DeBrusk as a piece to try to acquire one of them.
