NHL Rumors: Penguins Interested In Canucks Forward

According to Rick Dhaliwal, the Pittsburgh Penguins are expressing interest in Brock Boeser.

At this point of the season, the Penguins have a 34-14-9 record and are expected to be buyers at the deadline. Boeser is certainly a player who could fit very well there. This is especially true when noting that Kasperi Kapanen has entered the rumor mill due to his struggles this season.

In 50 games this season, Boeser has 15 goals to go along with 16 assists. It's been a bit of a down year for him, but he is still producing like a top-six forward. If moved to Pittsburgh, he could thrive playing with either Sidney Crosby or Evgeni Malkin. Furthermore, he would also be a great fit on their power play unit, too.

The Penguins won't be the only team calling the Canucks about Boeser. Although his $7.5 million qualifying offer is expensive, he has the potential to give a team a major boost for the playoffs. Let's see if Pittsburgh ends up being the team that acquires him.
