NHL Rumors: "Really Decent Chance" Canucks Forward Gets Traded

According to Frank Seravalli, there's "a really decent chance" that Conor Garland will be traded before the deadline passes.
With Seravalli being an NHL insider, this is certainly a development that we should keep an eye on as we get closer to 3 PM. Garland's name has come up in the rumor mill for a handful of months now, as the Canucks are looking to shed some of their salary.

Garland was just acquired by the Canucks this past offseason and signed to a five-year, $24.75 million contract. Yet, it's important to note that Jim Benning was GM at the time of the deal and not Patrik Allvin. Furthermore, the winger also does not possess any no-movement clauses, so the Canucks could trade with ease.

Teams who have been linked to Garland include the New York Rangers, New Jersey Devils, and Boston Bruins. However, it wouldn't be surprising to see other teams kick the tires on him from here.
