Sharks Place Forward On Waivers

The San Jose Sharks have placed Ryan Dzingel on waivers.

The Sharks just claimed Dzingel off of waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs last month. Due to this, the Leafs do have first priority to bring the 30-year-old back - if they choose to, of course. This is something that could interest them, as they lost the veteran forward immediately after acquiring him from the Arizona Coyotes. Furthermore, he wouldn't have to clear waivers this time if sent to the Toronto Marlies.

In 32 games between the Coyotes and Sharks this campaign, Dzingel has five goals, three assists, and a minus-5 rating. Overall, it has been a down year for him, but he could bounce back. Keep in mind, he just have 29 points in 64 games with the Carolina Hurricanes during the 2019-20 season. Thus, he has the potential to be a scoring third-liner when on his game.

If the Maple Leafs decide to pass on him, there could be other teams interested. He has a lot of overall experience and a cheap $1.1 million cap hit.
