Wild Trade Forward To Kraken

The Seattle Kraken have acquired Victor Rask from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for future considerations.

Both the Wild and Rask were looking to move on from one another, as the latter was sent down to the AHL last month. With that, Minnesota wanted to rid of his $4 million cap hit. Although they are retaining half of his salary in this trade, it did allow them to be more cap compliant after the moves they made.

Even though Rask has been traded, it also has been reported that he will start his tenure with the organization as a member of the Charlotte Checkers. Interestingly, that is where he began his professional hockey career, too.

Rask will be looking to impress in Charlotte in hopes of landing himself a call-up. In 29 games this season with the Wild, he had five goals, eight assists, and a plus-7 rating.
