NHL Rumors: 3 Potential Trade Destinations For Pierre-Luc Dubois

Elliotte Friedman recently reported that Pierre-Luc Dubois could find himself traded by the Winnipeg Jets this summer if he isn't open to signing a long-term deal. Furthermore, the team could be in for plenty of changes after a poor 2021-22 season. If Dubois is officially made available, don't be surprised to see these three teams pursue him.

Montreal Canadiens: If Dubois is officially made available, the Canadiens would immediately enter the sweepstakes. Not only is he a Quebec native, but he also would provide them with help in a position where they desperately need it. With that, it's hard to believe that the 23-year-old would be against signing a long-term deal with his hometown club. We could have a perfect match here.

Boston Bruins: The Bruins have questionable center depth, and it could become even worse if Patrice Bergeron retires or leaves via free agency. Yet, even if they re-sign him, they should pursue Dubois heavily. With the team's Stanley Cup window closing, bringing in a young, top-six forward like Dubois could help it remain open.

New York Rangers: The Rangers could enter the Dubois sweepstakes this summer, too. This is especially true if they are unable to come to terms with pending UFA and second-line center Ryan Strome. With the club now being legitimate contenders, they are certainly in a position where they could make a big splash by adding PLD.
