NHL Rumors: Blues Winger Wants To Stay Put

According to Elliotte Friedman, David Perron's primary goal is to re-sign with the St. Louis Blues this summer rather than test the free-agent market. With that, GM Doug Armstrong told reporters that the team is interested in bringing the veteran back, too.

Perron just put together an excellent season, so it's easy to understand why the Blues want him back. In 67 games, he scored 27 goals and recorded 57 points. Furthermore, he certainly is a very familiar face to the organization, as he has played 11 years over three different stints with the team.

Given the mutual interest between both parties, it seems that a Perron extension with the Blues is inevitable. We will have to wait and see what happens from here.
