NHL Rumors: Canadiens To Trade Forward

According to Marco D'Amico, the Montreal Canadiens will trade Jonathan Drouin this offseason if other teams express interest in the 27-year-old forward.

Drouin was limited to just 34 games this season, but when he played, he did make an impact. During those contests, he scored six goals and recorded 14 assists. Teams looking to improve upon their middle-six could call Montreal about him, but the primary obstacle is his $5.5 million cap hit. With that, he also carries a three-team no-trade list.

Nevertheless, it will be intriguing to see if the Canadiens are able to find Drouin a new home this offseason. Time will tell what comes to fruition.
