NHL Rumors: Wild Goalie Wants To Stay Put

While speaking with reporters, Marc-Andre Fleury said that he is open to the idea of re-signing with the Minnesota Wild.

Fleury was traded to the Wild by the Chicago Blackhawks on deadline day. Upon arrival, he formed a solid 1A-1B tandem with Cam Talbot. The 37-year-old did well during the regular season for them, as he had a 9-2-0 record and .910 SV% in 11 appearances. During the playoffs, he had mixed results and did not start Game 6.

If Fleury signs for a cheaper cap hit, it would make sense for Minnesota to sign him. However, the team has to figure out their salary cap situation and have other players to sign as well. Time will tell if Flower is back with the Wild next season, but there is at least interest on his end.
