Sabres Sign Forward Prospect

The Buffalo Sabres have signed Olivier Nadeau to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Nadeau was selected by Buffalo with the 97th overall pick of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. When looking at his 2021-22 season, it's fair to say that the Sabres have to be feeling pretty happy about getting him in the fourth round. In 65 games this year with the Shawinigan Cataractes, he scored 35 goals and had 78 total points. This also came after he put together a 45-point campaign in 34 games last season.

With the Sabres going through a decade-long rebuild, they certainly are hoping to help strengthen their prospect pool. With locking up Nadeau, we will have to wait and see if the 19-year-old forward can blossom into an NHL-caliber player later down the road.
