Lightning Provide Update on Brayden Point

The Tampa Bay Lightning managed to get back into their Eastern Conference Finals with a win on Sunday, but the word today is that they won't get back Brayden Point for Game 4 of their series with the New York Rangers tomorrow night.

Lightning coach Jon Cooper says Point is still not ready to return, although he did skate with his teammates Monday morning for the first time since suffering a lower-body injury in Game 7 of the first round against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

He is making progress though, as his Monday morning practice with teammates was the next step after skating in full equipment for the first time just five days earlier.

Cooper says "the worst of it is over" for Point, and that he continues to improve daily. Still no word, however, on when he will actually be able to suit up for a game.

It was back on May 14 when Point slid into the boards awkwardly, with his right leg folding underneath him.
