NHL Rumors: Canadiens Forward Could Be On The Move

According to Eric Engels, the Montreal Canadiens could look to trade Paul Byron this summer.

Byron is about to enter the final year of his contract, so it wouldn't be too surprising to see him moved. The Canadiens are coming off of a disastrous season and several of their veterans are in the rumor mill because of it. Yet, Byron also has a $3.4 million cap hit and just had a down year, so finding him a new home may not be that easy.

Byron has been with the Canadiens since the 2015-16 season, so seeing the alternate captain moved would be bittersweet. It will be intriguing to see what happens with the 33-year-old winger from here.
