NHL Rumors: Canucks To Shop Center

The Vancouver Canucks are heading into this offseason with a primary goal of shedding salary. One player who could be on the move because of this is Jason Dickinson, according to Frank Seravalli.

Dickinson carries a $2.65 million cap hit until the end of the 2023-24 season. That's a bit of a hefty cap hit for a player who just had a down year offensively. In 62 games, the 26-year-old scored five goals and added six assists. Nothing about those totals is particularly jaw-dropping.

Yet, teams could still pursue Dickinson via trade if they believe he can bounce back from a rough 2021-22 season. Furthermore, he is a solid defensive forward and penalty killer, so that also helps heighten his value.
