Avalanche Re-Sign Forward

The Colorado Avalanche are re-signing Darren Helm to a one-year, $1.25 million deal, according to Pierre Lebrun.

Darren Helm put up seven goals and eight assists, for 15 total points in 68 games last season for Colorado.

The thirty-five year old is known more for his defensive production, and penalty kill effectiveness, more so than his offense. He makes for a cheap depth piece, and will likely see continued time on Colorado's fourth line and penalty kill this upcoming season.
