Buffalo Sabres Forward Heading Overseas

Arttu Ruotsalainen is moving on from the Sabres, as he has signed a one-year deal with EHC Kloten.

Ruotsalainen played 18 games with the Sabres this season, where he had two goals and two assists. He was very good with the Rochester Americans, however, as he had 51 points in 57 games. Yet, instead of fighting for a spot on Buffalo's NHL roster next season, he will be heading to Switzerland instead.

The Sabres sent Ruotsalainen a qualifying offer, so they will hold onto his NHL rights if he ever decides to come back to North America. Yet, for now, he's done in Buffalo.
