The Washington Capitals have signed forward Dylan Strome to a one-year deal, worth $3.5 million.

The twenty-five year old is coming off a very solid season in Chicago, scoring a career-high 22 goals with 26 assists, for a total of 48 points in 69 games.

Strome is a good top-six centre with a good shot and goal scoring abilities. He is a very reliable playmaker and patient player, and will provide great depth to the Capitals.

This is a very good low-risk-high reward signing by the Capitals, and if the team struggles this season he could fetch a good return at the trade deadline.
