NHL Rumors: 5 Teams In the Market To Sign Marc-Andre Fleury

Rumors had been flying this morning that goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury had re-signed with the Minnesota Wild. But this has been shot down repeatedly.

Both Darren Dreger and Frank Seravalli are confirming that there is no agreement in place with the Wild, and that the 37-year-old Fleury is highly unlikely to sign a one-year deal. And while the Wild do still hope to re-sign him, there are apparently no less than 4 other teams in the running to poach him, according to Insider Pierre LeBrun.

LeBrun lists the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Colorado Avalanche (if Darcy Kuemper doesn’t sign), the Washington Capitals and perhaps the Pittsburgh Penguins all as possibilities for Fleury if he doesn't re-sign in Minny.

The former three-time Stanley Cup champ was dealt to Minnesota at the trade deadline and went 9-2 with a 2.74 GAA and a .913 save percentage with the Wild. He allowed 15 goals in his 5 playoff starts.

The Wild have stated they definitely want to keep both Fleury and All-Star Cam Talbot, but it still remains to be seen if they can pull it off.
