NHL Rumors: Claude Giroux Signing with Ottawa Senators

All signs are pointing to Claude Giroux heading home as multiple reports over the past couple of days have linked Giroux to the Ottawa Senators. As Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports on Wednesday morning, the deal appears to be inevitable at this point and will be signed once the market opens.

The Senators have perhaps won the offseason to this point with moves to acquire Alex DeBrincat, Cam Talbot and now adding Giroux. They have a great mix of young talent from some really good drafting the past few seasons and now the team is trying to become contenders in the eastern conference.

Giroux had himself a great season, split between the Philadelphia Flyers and Florida Panthers. He finished the season with 65 points in 75 games and also chipped in with eight points in 10 Stanley Cup Playoff games. Giroux now heads home to the Ottawa area to finish out his career.
