NHL Rumors: Free Agent Darcy Kuemper Considering 3 Teams

The goalie carousel has been spinning like crazy these past few days as the NHL has seen a ton of movement across the league. One goaltender who won't be back with his club from last season is Stanley Cup Champion Darcy Kuemper.

The veteran netminder held talks with Avalanche general manager Joe Sakic and the next day the Avs went out and acquired Alexandar Georgiev from the New York Rangers, a tell tale sign of just how good the talks went over. Now Kuemper moves on and there's three teams he's currently considering signing with.

The Edmonton Oilers are expected to offer a multi-year contract and could go as high as $6 million per season. The Toronto Maple Leafs are expected to try and re-sign Jack Campbell over the course of these next couple of days and if the talks break off, look for them to offer Kuemper a two or three year deal. Meanwhile the Washington Capitals would love to add Kuemper and would likely be in the same boat as the Maple Leafs with their offer.
