NHL Rumors: Hurricanes Defenseman Talking With Other Teams

According to Elliotte Friedman, the Hurricanes have given Tony DeAngelo permission to "shop his services."

DeAngelo is a pending RFA that the Hurricanes will have trouble keeping around. This is because Carolina has several players to re-sign and limited cap space. Thus, just like they've done with Ethan Bear, they are letting DeAngelo seek a new contract elsewhere.
