NHL Rumors: Red Wings Linked To Forward

In his most recent piece for Sportsnet, Elliotte Friedman guessed that Andrew Copp will sign with the Red Wings once free agency begins.

The Red Wings have already been active this offseason, as they of course added Ville Husso from the Blues. They have linked to Copp and certainly have the cap space to lock up the Michigan native. We will find out soon if that does in fact happen.

If signed, Copp would provide the Red Wings with a very good two-way forward. He also can play all three forward positions, so he offers great versatility. It will be intriguing to see if the Red Wings are able to add him to their top six. It would certainly be another step in the right direction for them.
