Predators Sign Forward

The Predators have signed forward John Leonard to a one-year, two-way deal worth $750K annually.

Leonard appeared in just 14 games for the Sharks this past season, scoring one goal and one assist. In 45 games for the San Jose Barracuda of the AHL, however, Leonard put up 17 goals and 15 assists for 32 total points.

Acquired from the Sharks for forward Luke Kunin, Leonard has very little NHL experience and is a depth piece for the Predators who will most likely use him down in the AHL and might get some fourth line ice time for the Preds this season.

For his NHL career, the twenty-three year old has played 58 games and scored four goals and 11 assists.
