Sabres Re-sign Forward


 

The Sabres have signed forward Victor Olofsson to a two-year deal worth $9.5 million

The twenty-six year old is coming off a very solid season, putting up 20 goals and 29 assists in 72 games for the Sabres. He set new career highs in assists and points last season, and tied his career high for goals. 

Olofsson has been a very productive player since joining the NHL, playing 188 career games, scoring 55 goals and 72 assists for 127 points. 

Since his NHL debut in 2019, Olofsson is tied for 18th in the NHL with 27 power-play goals. He also became the first player in NHL history to score his first seven career goals on the power play. 

Olofsson will earn $4.75 million per year, for the next two seasons.
