Sabres Sign Defenseman

The Sabres have signed Ilya Lyubushkin to a two-year, $5.5 million contract.

Lyubushkin had a career year split between the Coyotes and Maple Leafs. He set new career highs with two goals, 13 assists, and 15 points. With that, he made a major impact physically, as his 187 hits show perfectly.

Lyubushkin should be a very good addition to the Sabres' blue line. He will provide them with a bit more bite and simply make them harder to play against. Let's see how the 28-year-old defenseman performs from here.
