Senators Sign Center To Massive Extension

After taking a huge step forward in his second full season, Josh Norris has earned himself a long-term contract with the Ottawa Senators, signing an 8-year deal.

It's an 8-year, $63.6M deal ($7.95 AAV) for the 22-year-old, who registered 16 power play goals of his 35 on the season.

Norris tallied 55 points in 66 games, with a 20.3 shooting percentage.

“He’s a versatile forward who continues to mature into an exceptional NHL player," said Senators general manager Pierre Dorion. "His scoring prowess has already shown to be a considerable asset for us and one that will help us reach the next level. His dedication and the pride he takes in his physical conditioning will serve as a great example for our next wave of young players.”
