Hurricanes Sign Forward

The Carolina Hurricanes have re-signed forward Martin Necas to a two-year deal worth $3 million annually.

The twenty-three year old had a solid year, scoring 14 goals and 26 assists in 70 games. Despite this, it was one of his worst seasons in the NHL, as in 2020-21 Necas scored 41 points in 53 games, and in 2019-20 he scored 36 points in 64 games.

On his young career, Necas has a very strong 45 goals and 74 assists in 203 games.

Necas is improving more and more each season and he definitely has the potential to be a legit top-six forward in the coming years.

After the signing, Carolina now sits with -$1,116,917 in cap space.
