Arizona Coyotes Sign Forward to PTO

The Arizona Coyotes have signed Alex Chiasson to a professional tryout contract.

Truthfully, it’s a little surprising to see that Chiasson had to settle for a PTO with the Coyotes after the season he just had. With the Vancouver Canucks, the 6-foot-4 winger scored 13 goals and had 22 points in 67 games while playing bottom-six minutes. With that, he was very effective on the power play, as he scored six of his goals and recorded 10 points while being utilized on it. His net-front presence ability is a huge factor behind this, so it could be what helps him land a job with Arizona from here.

When looking at Arizona’s roster, it’s pretty clear that Chiasson is plenty good enough to earn himself a similar role there. Let’s see if the veteran can do just that and spend the 2022-23 season as a Coyote.
