Blackhawks Captain Pissed Off Over "Crushing" Trades

The Chicago Blackhawks traded away two of their best young players this past offseason in Kirby Dach and Alex DeBrincat. Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews admitted at the first day of training camp, both moves were crushing, and he felt lots of anger about the entire situation.

Toews is in the final season of his contract, and this is expected to be his last with the team. Management has been very clear it's full rebuild mode and the veteran captain wants nothing to do with it.

Seems like they are just going through the motions as camp opens on a new season and I'd expect by Christmas roster freeze we'll have a much better idea on where Toews will wind up. The Winnipeg Jets should be considered a heavy favorite and don't count out the coming interest from the Washington Capitals.
