Montreal Canadiens Center Might be Ready for Start of Season

While speaking with reporters, Montreal Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis said that although they are being cautious with Sean Monahan, he will get into preseason action before its done. Assuming all goes well during that, the 27-year-old will be good to go for the regular season.

Monahan is recovering from hip surgery, so naturally, nothing is set in stone yet. Setbacks can occur given the severity of his injury, but at the end of the day, it's quite encouraging that the Brampton native is just about cleared to get back into action.

Monahan was one of the Canadiens' notable offseason additions and will be aiming to have a bounce-back season in 2022-23 for his new team. In 65 games this past season with the Calgary Flames, he had eight goals to go along with 15 assists.
