Montreal Canadiens Forwards Injured to Start Training Camp

The Montreal Canadiens opened up training camp this week and won't be hitting the ice with full capacity. Forwards Josh Anderson is out day-to-day with an upper body injury, meanwhile freshly named captain Nick Suzuki is expected to miss at least two weeks, also dealing with an upper body injury.

For Anderson this is a huge season in Montreal. Trade rumors have surfaced over the summer and at this point it's unknown where exactly he stands with management. Suzuki we know is not going anywhere and is essentially the new face of the franchise.

Anderson is coming off a 32-point season as he battled inconsistency in 2021-22. He's capable of hitting 30 goals and with his size and speed can impact the game all over the ice in many different ways. Habs fans are hoping the injury bug takes it easy on them this season, but it's not off to a great start.
