Ottawa Senators Sign Two Free Agents to PTOs

The Ottawa Senators continue their busy offseason as the team announced they are bringing in free agents Michael Dal Colle and Derick Brassard on professional tryouts.

Two players at opposite ends of their careers, who now will battle it out at Sens training camp to try and make an impression. Brassard is a soon-to-be 35-year-old veteran who can play at either center or the wing. He spent last season split between the Philadelphia Flyers and Edmonton Oilers, where he collected 19 points in 46 games. Brassard spent 2016-18 as a member of the Senators.

Dal Colle on the other hand is a former first-round pick who at 26 years old is trying to secure a full-time spot in the league. He played for Senators head coach DJ Smith in junior. The New York Islanders selected the winger with the fifth overall selection at the 2014 entry draft. The Richmond Hill, ON native went on to play 112 NHL games on Long Island, chipping in with 21 points. They'll both report to training camp over the weekend.
