Avalanche Make Roster Move

The Colorado Avalanche have called up Jayson Megna to their NHL roster.

Megna recently hit the waiver wire, but this demotion was made due to salary cap reasons. Now, the 32-year-old is once again with the Avalanche, and he will be aiming to impress in their bottom six. Colorado's dealing with an abundance of injuries, so this is a good chance for the Florida native to make an impact and potentially earn himself a full-time spot in the process.

Megna showed last season that he can work well as a depth forward for the Avalanche. In 20 games in 2021-22 with Colorado, he had three assists. Yes, he was not offensively dominant, but his defensive play made him valuable. Let's see if that carries over to this season from here.
