Blackhawks Rumors: Jonathan Toews Trade Linked to 2 New Teams

The Chicago Blackhawks are expected to move captain Jonathan Toews at some point this season. The team is rebuilding and solely focused on the future, something Toews wants no part of. While there's been some rumblings about the Winnipeg Jets potentially having interest, Sportsnet's Jeff Marek listed a couple of other teams who may have interest later this season:

The Edmonton Oilers and Boston Bruins both lack center depth and both teams should be in the hunt for the Stanley Cup, something that's going to come into play with Toews waiving his no-movement clause.

Another team to look out for is the Washington Capitals. With Niklas Backstrom's health and the need for a defensive-minded, there could be a match. Toews looks to bounce back this season and is in line to start on the team's second line and second power-play unit. The Blackhawks captain recorded 37 points in 71 games last season.
