Blues Forward Set to Return

Big news for the St. Louis Blues, as Pavel Buchnevich has been activated off injured reserve and is set to return to the lineup because of it. In a corresponding move, Josh Leivo is heading back to the AHL.

In his lone game this season, Buchnevich scored a goal and an assist. Now, he will be aiming to carry over this hot start in his return and onward. The Blues are certainly happy to have the 6-foot-3 forward back, as he is one of their top forwards. This past season, for example, he set new career highs with 30 goals, 46 assists, and 76 points in 73 games. Getting this offense back is huge for St. Louis, especially after their average 3-3-0 start to the year.

Leivo, on the other hand, has played in three games with the Blues this season, recording zero points and sporting a minus-1 rating. He should be a major addition to the Springfield Falcons roster, though, as he is an excellent scorer at the AHL level. In 54 games last season with the Chicago Wolves, he had 22 goals and 46 points.
