Boston Bruins Call Up Defenseman

With Brandon Carlo being the latest Boston Bruin to hit injured reserve, the Original Six club needed to call up another defenseman. Due to this, Daniel Renouf is joining the NHL squad.

Renouf was one of the many depth signings the Bruins made this offseason for situations just like this. The 28-year-old comes with 23 games of NHL experience, where he has three assists, a minus-3 rating, and 23 penalty minutes. Overall, the 6-foot-1 d-man should provide Boston with a little bit of help on their bottom-pairing while they deal with several injuries.

This call-up may be short-lived, however, as Anton Stralman will be available for the Bruins once his visa issues are figured out. Yet, until then, don't be surprised to see Renouf play for the Bruins on Monday night.
