Bruins Remove Reliable Defenseman from Injured Reserve

He's ready for his 2023 season debut.

The Boston Bruins have removed defenseman Matt Grzelcyk from the injured reserve, ahead of Thursday's game against the Anaheim Ducks.
Grzelcyk's activation clears the way for him to make his season debut after being sidelined for the first four games of the year due to his shoulder issue.

With the reliable defenseman back in the lineup, Anton Stralman is likely to get bumped from the blue line while Mike Reilly could see his power-play minutes take a dive as well.

Now that he's healthy, Grzelcyk looks to tack on another 20-plus point campaign for the fourth straight season. Known more for his defensive abilities than his offensive touch, Grzelcyk has posted a strong +78 plus/minus rating over his first five seasons in the NHL.
