Buffalo Sabres Winger Clears Waivers

Anders Bjork is staying put with the Buffalo Sabres, as the winger has cleared waivers.

It isn't too surprising to see that Bjork went unclaimed while on the waiver wire. Although he is a serviceable bottom-six winger, his $1.6 million cap hit is fairly expensive. As a result of him being officially sent down to the Rochester Americans, the Sabres are now saving $1.125 million of their cap hit.

When injuries arise this season, don't be surprised to see Bjork get another call-up. In 58 games this past season with the Sabres, the 26-year-old scored five goals and had eight points.
