Calgary Flames Claim Forward Off Waivers

The Calgary Flames have another new forward, as they have claimed Radim Zohorna off of waivers from the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Zohorna certainly fits the current image of the Flames, as he is a 6-foot-6 winger who plays a very physical game. During this past season, he appeared in 17 games for the Penguins, where he scored two goals and recorded six points. Overall, it wasn't a bad showing at all from the 26-year-old, and now he will be hoping to build off that as a Flame from here.

When it was first announced that Zohorna was hitting the waiver wire, it seemed very possible that another team would take a chance on him. You can't teach size, and that with his decent offensive ability should make him a good little pick-up for the Flames.
