Hurricanes Rumors: 3 Possible Destinations for Ethan Bear

It is well-known that the Carolina Hurricanes are shopping Ethan Bear. They have been since the offseason, but they have yet to find him a new home. It is something that the 25-year-old defenseman must be yearning for, however, as he has been a healthy scratch for every game that Hurricanes have played this campaign (at the time of this writing). Let's look at three teams who could make a push for him from here.

Ottawa Senators: The Senators have already been fun to watch this season. Offensively, they are dynamite, but they absolutely need to upgrade their defensive group if they want to be a playoff team this year. They have been linked to Bear, so naturally, they are a possible destination for him. He could fit nicely on their bottom-pairing and power play, at a minimum.

Vancouver Canucks:
Like the Senators, the Canucks have also kicked tires on Bear. After losing their first five games of the season and blowing leads in each of them, it does seem like the time for them to pull the trigger and make a move. The right side needs some help, and Bear could provide it with just that.

Buffalo Sabres: The Sabres are looking good this season, as they sport a 3-1-0 record in their first four games. That is huge for a team that has not made the playoffs in over a decade. It is clear that they have made improvements, but they also could use some help on the right side of their defense. Perhaps a young player like Bear could be a way to help remedy the situation.
