Montreal Canadiens Goalie Sent Down to AHL

The Montreal Canadiens have sent Cayden Primeau back down to the Laval Rocket.

Primeau was called back up to the Canadiens' NHL roster because starting netminder Jake Allen had to miss the club's last game due to being on parental leave. Yet, that matter has now been taken care of, so Primeau is returning to the AHL where he hopes to put together a strong campaign.

Primeau appeared in 12 games for the Canadiens last season, where he had a 1-7-1 record, .868 SV%, and 4.62 GAA. Overall, it is clear that the 23-year-old struggled when called upon, so he will be hoping for the chance to redeem himself if he lands another call-up later on during the regular season.
