NHL Rumors: Ducks Forward to be Traded

After a horrendous start to the season, the Anaheim Ducks appear to be destined to be sellers at the deadline. A 1-6-1 record will be very challenging for the rebuilding squad to overcome, so expect to see them trade away their pending UFAs as rentals at the deadline. One player who we should see dealt because of this Derek Grant.

Grant is off to a bit of a slow start this season, having just a goal in eight games played. Yet, it feels as though he will heat up as the year continues, as he also just scored 15 goals and recorded 29 points in 71 games last campaign. If he can get back to similar totals by the deadline, there's no question that teams will be pursuing him for their bottom six.

Yet, when it comes to Grant, he provides more than just secondary scoring when at his best. The 6-3 forward is an excellent penalty killer due to his solid defensive play and can play various positions because of his versatility. With all of this, expect to see him moved at some point this season.
