NHL Rumors: Free-Agent Forward Garnering Interest

According to Elliotte Friedman, there is still interest in Sonny Milano around the NHL and the former first-round pick is willing to sign a one-way contract for close to the league minimum. With that, he said that Milano is also getting offers from overseas.

Milano was surprisingly let go from his PTO with the Calgary Flames last week and is still looking for a new home because of it. With the 26-year-old making it known that he is willing to sign for cheap, it would be surprising to see him not land a new home shortly. Keep in mind, this is a player who is coming off of a season that saw him score 14 goals and record 34 points in 66 games with the Anaheim Ducks.

Teams looking for a bit of scoring in the bottom six should consider the prospect of signing Milano from here. One club that stands out as a possibility, at least in my opinion, is the New York Islanders. Nevertheless, let's see where he ends up from here.
