Oilers Rumors: 3 Possible Destinations for Jesse Puljujarvi

The Edmonton Oilers have been shopping Jesse Puljujarvi heavily since this past offseason, but they have yet to find him a new home. However, it seems more likely than not that Puljujarvi will be dealt before the year is over, as both sides are looking to move on. Let's look at three teams who could be possible destinations for him.

Nashville Predators: The Predators were in on Puljujarvi this offseason, so who's to say that they wouldn't consider pursuing him again? Nashville needs more forward depth if they want to compete in the postseason this year, and Puljujarvi would give them just that. He would fit quite nicely on their second line and powerplay.

Washington Capitals: The Capitals are off to a slow start in 2022-23. Injury trouble is a major reason behind this, as they have several forwards out of the lineup, with Connor Brown being the latest with a long-term injury. Therefore, Washington would be wise to add a scoring right winger, so maybe they will consider taking a chance on Puljujarvi.

Arizona Coyotes: Puljujarvi only makes sense for the Coyotes IF Jakob Chychrun is heading the other way to Edmonton. The Oilers are currently linked to Chychrun, and they would need to move out salary to make a deal work. Puljujarvi is young enough that he could still fit into a rebuild, and this is especially true if he can hit his full potential with a change of scenery.
