Philadelphia Flyers Activate Goaltender

The Philadelphia Flyers have activated Felix Sandstrom off injured reserve. As a result of this, they also have sent down Samuel Ersson to the AHL.

Sandstrom was expected to be the team's backup, so this roster move is not all too surprising. Now, the 25-year-old netminder is set to begin his first full season in the NHL. He appeared in his first NHL games last season where he had a 0-4-1 record but also a solid .910 SV%.

Ersson, on the other hand, played in five games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms last season, where he had a 0-3-1 record and .893 SV%. He will be aiming to have a big season with the AHL squad, as it could be what opens the door for him to get a potential call-up later on in the season.
