Vegas Golden Knights Goalie Impressing at Camp

According to Vegas Golden Knights head coach Bruce Cassidy, Logan Thompson is currently "ahead" of Adin Hill and Michael Hutchinson on the depth chart.

With Robin Lehner done for the year and Laurent Brossoit set to miss the beginning of the season, goaltending is a major talking point for Vegas. They added Hill from the San Jose Sharks this offseason as a way to help remedy this situation, but it appears that Thompson is the goaltender truly shining in Vegas.

Thompson did quite well with the Golden Knights last season when they were hit hard with the injury bug in net. In fact, his play almost helped lead Vegas to the playoffs, but they fell just short. In 19 games with them in 2020-21, he had a 10-5-3 record, 2.6 GAA, and .914 SV%. If he can replicate this play this campaign, the Golden Knights will be in good shape. Let's see if he ends up winning the starting job, but given Cassidy's open praise, it seems more likely than not.
